How does virtual physiotherapy work?
You can set up your virtual physiotherapy session the same way as you would for a regular in-clinic physiotherapy appointment.
-
Call to schedule an appointment or book your sessions online via the online booking system.
-
A physical therapist will call to discuss the issues you’re experiencing.
-
We will confirm your appointment or schedule a time that allows you the benefit of a virtual physiotherapy session from the convenience of your home or office.
-
All the information you need to set up your online session will be sent to you to make sure you’re prepared for your first session.
-
Your condition is evaluated, assessed and diagnosed via online conferencing.
-
We provide you with a complete rehabilitation program you can follow from home.
-
Your progress is monitored and we train you (and any others that may need to be involved) on how to effectively perform your physical therapy.
What equipment do I need for an online physiotherapy session?
A virtual appointment requires a device with a camera and speaker. Most smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers come with built-in speakers and cameras. The sessions are streamed online so having a quality internet connection will help with the quality and continuity of your virtual appointment.
If you have a desktop computer you may need a webcam as an additional accessory. Not all desktop computers come with cameras (although all are equipped with speakers).

Does insurance cover the cost of virtual physio treatments?
If you have third-party insurance or employee benefits they are typically covered under your plan. It’s recommended to check with your provider to ensure the full portion of the visit is covered.
We provide direct billing to make your sessions as smooth and effortless as possible. Any remaining portions of your invoice that are not covered under your policy can be paid for using a credit or debit card.
